Calm in a Box is back

Get the kettle on, one of our most popular training sessions ever is back in January as we will be hosting the return of Calm in a Box for a series of online bitesize sessions alongside your morning cuppa! – Book your place here.

Presented by Sarah Markham, founder of Calm in a Box. This series will open the door to those wanting to explore finding a calmer, happier, and healthier work-life balance.

Many of us have the desire to succeed in our busy careers, but this can impact our personal lives. This imbalance causes havoc with our physical, mental, and emotional well-being, which ironically, can then affect our workplace productivity. Sarah will be sharing her expertise about how to address this instability and find calm when our lives are full.

“We understand first hand the impact of losing balance when it comes to finding work/life brilliance. The way we're working isn't working and we're on a mission to change this for the better for individuals, for teams, for leaders, for organisations: we can help you find a different way; you can slow down to go faster” – Sarah, Calm in a Box

Due to the popularity of CALM last year as part of Community Chesterfield’s Training and Tea, we are delighted to have Sarah Markham back again to start the New Year. Each session focuses on a dimension of the training to co-create a 1% CALMer challenge to move forwards with. These workshops have been delivered to a range of audiences, from global brands and public sector organisations to not-for-profit and community groups.

“These CALM sessions in particular have been very enjoyable and enlightening, with Sarah's delivery and content being ideal for the subject matter.” - Attendee of the 2021 Community Chesterfield hosted CALM Model sessions.

“Amazing workshops – thank you. Would highly recommend to any organisation large or small. Thoroughly worthwhile, really positive feedback and certainly an appetite to run more sessions” – University of Derby

Health and well-being have become a priority for employers in recent years, with organisations recognising the importance of offering support for employees, providing a culture of openness, and supporting a better work-life balance. This mindset is only growing in small teams all the way up to multinationals.

The Calm In A Box training is underpinned by the CALM model, created from Sarah’s extensive research in the field. These sessions provide an opportunity to equip yourself with tools to help you, or your organisation, achieve a more harmonious balance between working life and personal life.

“The (CALM) workshop itself was also super, very relevant and resonated with a lot of the attendees. We received so much positive feedback following the event and would recommend it for anyone to take time out and regather and recharge”- Barclays UK

Exploring the CALM toolkit through data, well-being insights, engaging stories, and interactive discussion exercises, these sessions are a powerful way to connect teams to themselves and each other to initiate the culture, mindset, and behaviour change needed for a thriving workplace ready to respond to the needs of the 21st-century world externally and internally.

“The CALM session was really insightful. Encouraging/refreshing to see a wellbeing topic on the agenda and generated some good discussion and thinking” Rolls Royce
